This session was one of the most special I’ve ever photographed because it was my own. Sweet baby Lilly joined our family just before Christmas, and we couldn’t be more in love. Of course, I couldn’t resist picking up my camera to capture those first quiet, cozy days at home.

We kept things relaxed and simple with a lifestyle newborn session right in our own home. I love that newborn sessions don’t need to be overly posed or complicated. It’s about capturing the love, connection, and those little moments that go by so fast, and that’s exactly what I wanted for our own photos.

Since Lilly arrived right before the holidays, we included a few subtle Christmas touches, like cozy textures, twinkle lights, and soft winter tones, along with classic newborn images. It was the perfect blend of festive and timeless.

My older daughters even joined in for a few photos, and watching them love on their new baby sister made my heart melt. These are the kinds of memories I know we’ll look back on for years and be so thankful to have.
